My main computer is a custom-built desktop PC I made a couple of years ago (and upgraded in June 2020) running Windows 10 Pro:

Windows apps

I regularly use these apps on my PC:

  • 1Password for managing my passwords
  • 7-Zip for compressed files that Windows can’t handle
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader for handling complex PDFs
  • Chocolatey for managing command-line apps (mainly to use Terraform)
  • Firefox for browsing the web
  • Microsoft 365 for storing and editing my documents
  • Spotify for streaming music
  • Visual Studio Code for writing code and interacting with GitHub

iPhone apps

I regularly use these apps on my iPhone:

  • All the usual Apple apps
  • 1Password for managing my passwords
  • Dark Sky for super-accurate weather forecasts
  • Microsoft Authenticator for logging in to Microsoft apps
  • Lifesum for tracking what I eat
  • Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote, Word and Excel for storing and editing my documents and emails
  • Shazam for finding out what that song is
  • Trello for accessing my boards
  • WhatsApp for messaging

  • iCloud for email, calendar, contacts and syncing with my phone
